One of the most original shows on television these days is coincidentally titled The Originals!
Luckily for us, we were able to EXCLUSIVELY catch up with a lot of the cast at Comic-Con to talk about The CW network hit!
Phoebe Tonkin, Daniel Gillies, Joseph Morgan all talked about the relationship between Hayley, Klaus, and Elijah. And even Charles Michael Davis put his two cents in on what team he’s rooting for!
But the real treat was when the creator of the whole shebang Julie Plec really deciphered what was going on in her amazingly intricate world, and we are most definitely excited for the second season!
In fact – we kind of wish it was starting right now!

The actor, who currently heads up the CW’s The Originals, wed his Vampire Diaries costar Persia White in an intimate ceremony in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, on July 5.
“It had a very rustic feel to it,” White tells PEOPLE. “There was nothing about it that was overwhelming or very huge or fabulous in that way. We tried to keep everything really intimate and beautiful and sort of going along with nature.”
The bride wore a Vera Wang dress with a cathedral-length veil, while the groom sported an ivory-colored silk tux with black lapels by Miguel Wilson. “And then I had a bow tie,” adds Morgan. “In fact, the bow tie was the first bow tie I’ve ever tied myself, so I was quite proud of that.”

The bros are getting the whole gang together for Comic-Con. And by the whole gang, we mean everyone from Kevin Bacon, to the guys from Supernatural, to Mike Tyson.
In a press release, Warner Bros. Television group announced plans to pull together 15 different series, including five shows making their debut at the San Diego convention. They’ve previously announced a three-hour event on July 26 which will include the premiere of the anticipated Batman-prequel Gotham and footage from the upcoming pilot for The Flash, but they’re also promising the return of several of their biggest shows.
Participating in the convention in San Diego will be: the Following’s Kevin Bacon; The Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder; Supernatural’s Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins; The Flash’s Grant Gustin (Arrow); Constantine’s Matt Ryan and Harold Perrineau (Lost); The Originals’ Joseph Morgan; Childrens Hospital’s Rob Corddry; Mike Tyson Mysteries’ Mike Tyson; and cast members from Gotham.
Producers Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash), Greg Plageman (Person of Interest), Julie Plec (The Vampire Diaries, The Originals), Jason Rothenberg (The 100), Rob Thomas & Diane Ruggiero-Wright (iZOMBIE, Veronica Mars), Kevin Williamson (The Following, The Vampire Diaries), will also appear.
In addition to the announced screenings of The Flash‘s pilot, there will also be complete screenings of Constantine and iZombie, which follows a medical student (Rose McIver) who has to readjust her life goals after becoming one of the undead. There will also be footage from a new episode of Teen Titans Go!

Is Joseph Morgan stepping into Walter White’s hazmat suit? The trailer for JoMo’s new psychological thriller Dermaphoria has just been released, and it’s a real trip.
Director Ross Clarke makes his feature film debut with this gritty, atmospheric drama, which finds Joseph Morgan stepping into the shoes of Eric Ashworth, a man who wakes up in jail, accused of arson, without any recollection of how he got there. His past remains a mystery until he discovers a strange new hallucinogen that allows him to recover his memories. It turns out he may have created the drug when his former life as an illegal chemist becomes clearer. But as his tolerance for the drug increases, the lines between his drug-induced dreams and reality are blurred.
Judging from the trailer, which you can watch below, Dermaphoria looks like it has the potential to turn JoMo into Hollywood’s next leading man. (Nice American accent, Joseph!) The film also stars Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Walton Goggins (Sons of Anarchy) and Kate Walsh (Grey’s Anatomy).
Dermaphoria will premiere at the East End Film Festival on June 13, 2014 in the UK before making its US debut later in the year.

HAYLEY’S HELPERS | Now that Klaus’ baby mama is a full-on hybrid, she’s going to need someone to show her the ropes, but which of the Big Easy’s fanged fellas will step up to the plate? “We’re actually waiting to make that discovery,” Morgan says, though his co-stars have a few ideas. “I think we’ll all put our names into a bowl,” Davis says, to which Gillies adds, “I think Hayley has a trained hamster that draws the names for us.” (Honestly, stranger things have happened on this show.)

The rumors are true!
Joseph Morgan confirmed his engagement to Persia White while speaking to E!’s Kristin Dos Santos at The CW’s Upfront event in New York City Thursday. “I was waiting for this moment to break it to you,” the actor joked.
How did the proposal happen? “I’m not going to go into specific detail,” the British TV star said on the red carpet, “but I tried to be romantic. It was a nerve-wracking moment but it was special.”
Morgan, 32, and White, 41, met on the set of The Vampire Diaries in 2011. The engagement news comes on the heels of The Originals’ first season finale and just days before the actor’s 33rd birthday.

The Originals’ Klaus is about to become a baby daddy, but will that change anything in the villainous vampire?
“I hope so,” Joseph Morgan tells TVGuide.com. “There is certainly potential for it. If Klaus sees the baby or gets to hold the baby, I don’t know if it’ll make him go more in that [nurturing] direction or send him the other way. I can see him not being able to handle it. With him becoming a father it’s interesting to see how that affects his bloodlust.”
On Tuesday’s freshman season finale, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) will try to protect her unborn child from the witches who have taken her into captivity with plans to suck up all the baby’s magical powers. As we’ve seen in the preview, the baby will definitely be born, but will Klaus figure out a way to keep her alive? Keep reading for more from Morgan and co-executive producer Michael Narducci about the Season 1 finale, as well as some scoop on next season, including Rebekah’s return.
How, if at all, will the birth of the baby change Klaus?
Michael Narducci: The birth of the child will humble Klaus, fill him with a newfound connection to his own family, and offer him a glimpse at the kind of unrequited love he’s longed for his entire life. At the same time, the child represents an incredible vulnerability, and Klaus will be shaken to his core by the threat his enemies pose to his child.

“The Originals” Season 1 finale, which begins with episode 21, “The Battle of New Orleans,” on Tuesday (May 6) and concludes with episode 22, “From a Cradle to a Grave,” on May 13, will be “absolutely action-packed and utterly heartbreaking and emotional,” star Joseph Morgan promises. Did you expect anything less?
The actor tells Zap2it that the episodes are sort of a two-parter, with 22 picking up exactly where 21 leaves off. “It all comes to a head,” he teases. “It really opens the world up but also it’s fearless. They’ve never been afraid to kill characters that we like and they’ve never been afraid to let people do things that might make them unpopular, and both of those things will happen in the next two episodes.”
Oof, but again — did you expect anything less?
As Morgan explains it, all the supernatural factions in New Orleans are preparing for a major power grab. “Each faction seems to be getting ready to make their move — the wolves to get their hands on the stones to make these rings so they can control their curse, and the witches are getting ready to try and sacrifice the child, and there’s uproar in the human community after Father Kieran died and Francesca is trying to take over, the vampires and Marcel are getting ready to make their move as we saw, and the Originals [are plotting],” he says. “I suppose 22 is the finale but really it’s one long, huge event.”
Among the many, many goings-on are the birth of Klaus’s were-witch-vamp baby and the fact that Klaus will definitely find out about the kiss between his baby mama, Hayley, and his brother, Elijah. “Things never seem to be that secret for that long,” Morgan says. “With this family everything seems to come out in the end, doesn’t it?”
And yes, obviously Season 1 of “The Originals” will end with a cliffhanger. “The whole season has been a pleasure, but the last few episodes especially are like a rocket ship and I think we’re going to finish very strong,” he says. “It’s utterly compelling you to watch next season.”
“The Originals” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

Battle lines will be drawn as the French Quarter erupts in a war of the factions during tonight’s episode of The Originals.
We caught up with star Joseph Morgan to chat about everything from the brewing battle and Mikael’s (Sebastian Roché) shocking return, to Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Hayley’s (Phoebe Tonkin) kiss and Klaus’ protective nature over Cami (Leah Pipes).
Meanwhile, what are the chances Klaus will come out on top with several enemies aiming to kill him and his family? Check it:
JustJaredJr: Let’s talk about this big battle coming up. Klaus doesn’t look to be in the best position as of right now. Does he have some diabolical plan that we don’t know about?
Joseph Morgan: No, I know. It seems like they all have different goals. The wolves want these stones to make these rings to strengthen them. Genevieve and witches have to sacrifice the baby or Genevieve will die if she doesn’t sacrifice the baby. Marcel doesn’t want to wolves to get the rings, so he’s going up against Klaus. There’s all sorts of factions in play and then with the great loss of Father Kiernan, and Francesca is making a play for the power now. There are a lot of cross motives at the moment, and it’s all going to play out over the next two episodes. In fact, [episodes] 21 and 22 are both action-packed. [Episode] 22 takes place immediately after 21 ends. There’s no rest for our characters. Yeah, it’s going to be a huge, action-packed and emotionally-charged couple of episodes. I would hope that Klaus has some sort of diabolical plan because let me tell you, he’s going to need it.
