The epic premiere of Vampire Diaries spin-off The Originals is just around the corner, and in true TVD fashion, star Joseph Morgan is getting us excited with spoilery teases.

Instead of just hyping up the first episode, Joseph took it to the next level by revealing big and exciting promises about the first five episodes! On September 6, he wrote, “The first 5 episodes of #TheOriginals have intricate mythology tying together extremely action packed sequences. It’s a fang fan’s dream .”

Well, the wink is what really seals the deal there. Though both men and women watch the show, it seems like it will be more of a fang girl’s dream, considering the multitude of hot men. Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Charles Michael Davis? New Orleans is one swoon-worthy city.

Plus, the intricate mythology and action-packed sequences are equally as fangtastic. As seen in a few promos and interviews with the cast, it’s not all about the way people look — it’s the power struggle, the family dynamic, and, of course, the bloodshed.

We can’t wait for the premiere… and then the following four episodes. If five seasons of TVD are any indication, the spin-off’s freshman run is going to leave us wanting more and more.
